You may feel overwhelmed when you start your business. This is more common than you might think. This is not to say that you shouldn’t share your knowledge with clients.
You are always ahead of the rest.
No matter how long you have been in business, there is a good chance that you know a lot by just getting started. This means that you’re more advanced than others who could benefit from your guidance. One can say that I had no clients when I started my business. I’m able to share the things that have worked for me to grow my business.
You are still learning in the trenches.
This was what I did when I first started. Working with me was a part of what made it so appealing. I was also still learning. I spoke about it and promised to share the things I know as I grow. People could relate to me simply because I was just a few steps ahead of them.
It is possible to add value even if you don’t have a multimillion-dollar business.
Tell people about your “before”, and then tell them the highlight of your life. Client attraction is made possible by the compelling point that changed everything. This is your story, and it doesn’t have to be a multimillion-dollar one. To inspire others, you don’t need to achieve an incredible peak to be able to show them how you got to where you are today.
A simple decision can make a difference.
Even if there isn’t a moment that defines you, you can still recall the day you made the decision to change. Sometimes it’s as easy as “I’m not doing this anymore” or “From now on, I’m doing something different.” Your ideal clients will want to make the same crucial decision. Prospective clients don’t always require an earth-shaking moment. This is more realistic for many people.
It doesn’t take a new method to do the job.
Let me tell ya something, so many of my students fear they won’t be able to do something unique with their business. Many people believe that if their work isn’t innovative or patent-pending, it’s not good enough. You don’t really need this, and I want to be clear about it.
Be confident in your uniqueness and individuality.
You don’t have to serve in the same way as you do. Your process is unique because you have your own system—some aspects of what your offer will be appealing to specific prospects while others won’t. Your special offering is made possible by your life experiences and natural gifts. You can feel confident in your knowledge, your experience and the things you have to offer.
Your Assignment
Every day, take the time to reflect on how far you’ve come and what you’ve accomplished. Keep track of all your accomplishments and keep it updated. This will help you build confidence and make your work more valuable. Client attraction will be a lot easier if you have faith.
