Still, there’s ONE thing about us not being completely” unique” that can work in favor of our marketing.
And that is, we’re mortal beings selling to other mortal beings who partake the same underpinning cerebral triggers and motorists. ( Indeed, if you service faves, it’s a human that’s paying you.)
What about that? That means if you can tap into your own experience, feelings, and stories and make them transcend into universal gests or feelings, your marketing communication can speak to your ideal guests in a profound reverberating way that makes them want to work with you.
Your feelings, frustrations, intrinsic drives, or deep solicitations are human nature participated by your ideal guests. Your life experience, no matter how unique it is, reflects human conditions participated by all.
Using participated human conditions and feelings can move and motivate people into action in a way that inspires commitment (because they aren’t” strong-fortified” into buying by some failure tactics)-and dedication leads to results, happy guests, and referral (aka good for business!)
. Going into similar deep places can spark a lot of” stuff” that can sabotage your trouble. Then are a couple of mindset shifts to support you to step up.
Mindset Shift# 1 How You Suppose About Marketing
To make this approach work, you need to stop allowing marketing as a commodity alien or a” necessary wrong.”
Marketing at its most authentic form is honest and transparent. It’s a way for our individual value, vision, passion, and expression to come through in all of our dispatches- entirely and unapologetically.
It’s a way for us to get clear on who we are because unless we’ve clarity about what we stand for, we can not amp it up to produce effective marketing communications. However, your marketing will amp up the confusion (If you’re confused.)
Mindset Shift# 2 Own Your Vulnerability
Embracing your vulnerability allows you to dig into all your life’s gests, feelings, and stories to find the gem that will hit the bull’s eye for your ideal guests. This is where real connections and fruitful connections begin.
You can not be authentic, transparent, and honest if you hold back, play small, or puff up because of the fear of being vulnerable.
But it does not mean you have to dole out everything and the kitchen Gomorrah! In fact, if you tell your entire life story without considering what you’re trying to communicate or how you’re going to inspire action, you’re just prattling.
Retaining your vulnerability means you’re in a position to look at all your experience and stories from a neutral perspective-because you aren’t trying to conceal- so you can elect the bones that strike a chord with your ideal guests and tell tales or gests from your followership’s perspective, in a way that’s applicable to them and inspires action, so they can relate and connect with you.
Overcoming your fears can go a long way to help you step up and be honest and transparent in your marketing to make genuine and fruitful connections.
