“What is it you do?” That was the question that I frequently asked the entrepreneurs in our Increase sales and Profits workshop last week.
“And why do I care?” Yes, I’m that unassuming when it comes to getting the meaning of the introductions delivered by business owners at networking events, workshops, or gatherings at a cafe.
In most cases, when I hear an introduction, I’m left with no notion of what (the business owner) is talking about. Seriously, only when you are able to state your name, business, and solution/results/outcomes clearly – will you be able to attract me as an ideal client. I’m a wealthy person, but if I’m not sure, I’ll move to someone else to meet my requirements.
Clarity is a significant factor in attracting clients and money. Let me assist you with this. Here’s my straightforward method to answer how Who Am I? What can I do? Dilemma…
1.) Imagine your ideal customer.
Who is this person, and what are they looking for? What can you provide? Let’s make it simple by comparison to an experience shopping. I’m sure there are many of you who will be able to relate to this. Your ideal customer is waiting at the entrance of a big book store. This book store is home to an abundance of information… And you are among the sources.
2.) After your customer has walked through the doors of the store, You want them to locate you.
A bookstore is usually divided into sections of resources – Food, Health, Travel, Business, and so on. For instance, I could be located in the section for business. Therefore, I believe that my ideal client will go to that section in order to locate me. But, as of now… There are millions of business books within the section. How do I make my ideal client locate ME?
3.) What is unique about me/you? This is the next step.
Between all the Business books, how can my ideal client locate you or me? When it comes to business, what’s my perspective. For me, it is about the principle stop making compromises and getting as much money as you can’t resist. Therefore, you will see me in the section on Money on Business books – not leadership, not marketing or Sales, etc. How about you? Where would a prospective client discover your book/resource?
4.) The following steps to attract the right client includes helping them narrow down their options.
There is plenty of information to pick from in the area of the subject of money in the Business section of the bookshop. What is the reason why anyone would be drawn toward me and to my story? The reason is my unique perspective on the subject of Money, and that is my own personal story. That’s what makes me stand out from the sea of sources. This is what draws my ideal clients. That’s why they want to collaborate with me. My perspective is simple – business owners make mistakes when it comes to settling on less than ideal clients, and this ‘costs’ them.
Entrepreneurs make compromises when it comes to establishing charges for services and products and then ‘costs these costs.
Entrepreneurs make mistakes when it comes to taking advantage of opportunities to advertise their own products and services, which can result in missed opportunities.
Entrepreneurs settle – and get paid less than they are entitled to and receive less than they should!
5.) Clarity draws in ideal customers and money.
If you take a look at the person you are and the things you are doing to be found in a bookshop, this makes it easier to manage your business and the message you send.
It’s an easy process and one you can begin practicing today! Start working on this, and you’ll be amazed at how much easier the entire client-attraction process will be for you. It’s easy, it’s enjoyable, it’s easy, and it’s successful. Make yourself a magnet for customers, thanks to your confidence and clarity!
