Are you looking to connect with more people within your company! Do you think it is time to go out more? One of the most effective methods I’ve seen to increase your sales and increase your clientele to grow your list is to hold an event that is life.
It’s not something that can be put together overnight. One of the reasons that I succeed in hosting events is because I have a plan, and I execute to implement the plan.
Here are some easy steps to follow in the strategy.
1.) Work with a coach.
If it wasn’t for my business coach, I could have made many (and costly) mistakes when organizing my one-day events as well as my three-day events. You need to collaborate with someone who has experienced the ropes – someone who has had the experience with success. Live events can be costly, and you need to approach them with a clear strategy.
2.) Make a Plan.
A coach who has gone through this provides you with peace of mind immediately. It is essential to plan your events throughout the year and sketch out the full details. It all begins with having the vision and thematic theme. Everything else follows from there.
3.) Find out your “why”.
It is not a good idea to organize and run an event just because everybody has done it. What’s your reason? Get grounded. Clear your mind. Get focused.
4.) Plan the FINANCIAL RESERVES.
Working along with my business coach sketched out the strategy/plan of action for growing my business. Then, we identified “wealth buckets” that correspond to various areas of my life and business. We then determined a wealth bucket to use for the occasion.
5) Start small.
Start by scheduling events for one day initially. Gain some experience under your belt. Find out the best practices and what doesn’t make sense for you or your company. Learn to budget and plan to achieve financial success.
6.) Hire the right team to provide support.
This isn’t something you can accomplish on your own and be successful to the extent you require. Think about hiring suitable VA’s, copywriters, graphics artists, and even tekkie VA’s (there is a lot that happens behind the scenes during the initial stages of marketing for an event) and an event planner, etc.
7.) Develop your marketing PLAN.
It is essential to prepare a plan at least six months in advance of an event of one day and one year in advance for the event that lasts for three days. They can define your financial, emotional, physically, and mentally. Make a plan and assemble an appropriate team and keep your ducks in order!
8.) CONNECT RESPONSIVELY.
This is an essential step. The more communication you have, the better. Email or voicemail, Skype or whatever method you prefer. But do it! Be sure to keep everyone informed.
9) FOLLOW-UP!
The event is only one aspect of the process of developing your business. It’s not the end at the end of the day. It is imperative to have a plan for follow-up in place. That’s where most of the money goes!
10) CELEBRATE!
It’s hard work, people. As I mentioned earlier, it’s not for those who aren’t prepared! When you choose the right people, they’ll usually put with all their hearts to support you in all ways. Make sure you thank their efforts, show appreciation and be sure to celebrate with them!
